PRESS RELEASE: Barcelona, Spain – Schneider Electric has announced this week at their Innovation Summit, that it is partnering with Avnet and Iceotope in order to jointly develop innovative, chassis-level immersive liquid cooling solutions for data centres.
This joint venture (JV) brings together three global technology innovation leaders: Schneider Electric for data centre infrastructure solutions, Avnet for technology integration services and Iceotope for chassis-level immersion cooling technologies.
Kevin Brown, CTO and SVP of Innovation, Secure Power, Schneider Electric commented, “Compute intensive applications like AI and IoT are driving the need for better chip performance. Our quantitative analysis and testing of liquid cooling approaches show significant benefits to the market. This partnership is the next step in solution development and we are excited to be working with Avnet and Iceotope.”
Schneider Electric has collaborated with Iceotope since 2014 on the research and development of new liquid cooling technology. Iceotope received $10 million in series A funding led by Aster Capital in 2014.
