WHO QUALIFIES TO ATTEND DATACENTRE.ME (DCME) END USER / BUYER / SPECIFIER EVENTS WITH A COMPLIMENTARY TICKET?

The DATACENTRE.ME (DCME) Team has been running successful events for the Data Centre industry since September 2013 with an unexpected break from face to face (F2F) events during the global pandemic!

With the exciting return to our F2F networking events in September 2021, we have been inundated with requests to attend our end user / buyer / specifier networking events so we felt that it would be useful to explain the principles behind how we run these events and who qualifies for a “golden ticket”.

We follow a robust qualification process that enables us to offer end user / buyer / specifier-focused events of the highest calibre possible and where the vendor presence is limited.  We present a thorough registration form, asking for clarification of many pertinent details during the registration / qualification process.  This registration process enables us to gather the necessary information required to qualify registrants.

It is a very simple equation: Our event sponsors support these events financially, and, in return, we invite qualifying industry professionals to attend free of charge as our guests in the hope that they may find some synergy and end up working with each other.  Complimentary food & drink is provided on the evening which adds to the high-end experience and allows our VIP guests to enjoy an evening of senior-level networking in a relaxed & comfortable environment.  Our guests very much appreciate the fact that we limit the vendor presence and our sponsors enjoy the high calibre of guests in attendance, benefitting from relatively few competitors for the duration of the event.  These are all reasons why our events are so popular with end users and sponsors alike.

End users / buyers / specifiers of the future“.  Based on an ever-increasing number of requests and feedback from our industry contacts, we’ve started making a conscious effort to encourage our guests to bring an “end user / buyer / specifier of the future” to our events which we feel helps a lot of new starters in the industry as they are just setting out on their career path.  This might be a graduate engineer or someone in a junior operations or procurement role for example. but does not include anyone in our excluded lists further down this page unfortunately.

What if I make an individual request?

Unless an individual qualifies for a complimentary end user / buyer / specifier ticket or works for a company that is a DCME event or website sponsor, we are unfortunately unable to allow attendance to our end user events.

Allowing vendors to attend our end user / buyer / specifier events would quite rightly upset our event sponsors and compromise the quality of the event.  Attendee numbers would be affected and, as we limit the number of total guests, any additional vendors would result in a reduction in the number of end user / buyer / specifier guests we would be able to invite.  This would directly impact the event statistics, our reputation and jeopardise our whole business model.  Additionally, it causes a great deal of embarrassment & upset (on both sides!) when we have to say no.

We thank all our industry friends & associates for their continued support as well as their kind respect & understanding of this most delicate of situations.

Am I able to purchase a vendor ticket to attend a DCME end user / buyer / specifier event?

We do not sell tickets to attend our end user / buyer / specifier networking events to anyone other than DCME website sponsors. There are absolutely no exceptions to this rule, so anyone that doesn’t qualify for a complimentary ticket must sign up to sponsor our website and / or the event if they wish to attend.

By the same token, we are unfortunately unable to sell or release extra tickets for website & event sponsors outside of their agreed allowance.

In conclusion:

If you do not fit our end user ticket qualification criteria but would still like to attend one of our end user / buyer / specifier events, then we invite you to contact the DATACENTRE.ME team for a no-obligation chat to discuss affordable sponsorship options.  Please log an enquiry on our contact us page here and one of the team will get in touch.
