Introduction

DATACENTRE.ME is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all attendees. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behaviour and the consequences for unacceptable behaviour. All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers at our event are required to adhere to this Code of Conduct.

 

Expected Behaviour

Treat all participants, staff, and venue personnel with respect and consideration.

Communicate openly and thoughtfully with others, listening to different viewpoints and ensuring a constructive dialogue.

Respect the rules and policies of the venue, including health and safety guidelines.

Consume alcohol responsibly. Intoxication is not an excuse for inappropriate behaviour.

Unacceptable Behaviour

Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or sexual harassment.

Aggressive, demeaning, or disruptive behaviour.

Unwanted physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Use of offensive or degrading language.

Displaying or sharing sexually explicit or violent material.

Excessive intoxication that results in disruptive or dangerous behaviour.

Reporting Unacceptable Behaviour

If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behaviour, please report it as soon as possible to event staff or organisers. Reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. You can reach us at event@datacentre.me

 

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour

Attendees asked to stop unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

At the discretion of the event organisers, consequences for unacceptable behaviour may include:

Warning the offender.

Expulsion from the event without refund.

Exclusion from future events.

Reporting the incident to local authorities.
