ABM UK & IRELAND STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP TEAM

ABM UK & Ireland has reinforced its Business & Industry (B&I) division’s leadership team to enhance operational excellence and support its customers’ evolving needs. With landmark contract wins and a 96% client retention rate in FY24, ABM’s UK & Ireland business is well positioned for accelerated growth while maintaining world-class service delivery.

The company began the year by expanding its Transport for London cleaning contract to include mechanical and electrical (M&E) services for the London Underground. Additional contract wins, including extended partnerships with major global retailers and corporate real estate giants, highlight ABM’s role as a trusted partner.

To sustain this momentum, Business & Industry Managing Director Campbell Murdoch has introduced a refined leadership structure designed to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and support customer-centric solutions. Under the leadership of Richard Sykes, SVP and President for ABM UK & Ireland, the B&I team is committed to elevating service standards and delivering measurable value.

Business & Industry Managing Director Campbell Murdoch commented: “It has been an incredible year for the business, but while we’ve achieved significant milestones, this is just the beginning. The new team structure supports our focus on unparalleled service and building the business for the benefit of our customers. By leveraging technology and data-driven solutions, we aim to enhance efficiency, elevate customer experiences, and continue our rapid growth with confidence.

“With customers increasingly looking for multi-service solutions, one of the team’s main focusses will be the development of best-in-class ABM Performance Solution (APS); replacing passive, cost-centred facility management with a strategic model that’s proactive, customised and data-driven.”

David Donovan is focussed on soft service delivery, ensuring seamless delivery for key clients such as Transport for London. Tony Hampson, who joined in 2024, heads Technical Solutions—a critical growth pillar designed to enhance the technical service capabilities available to customers. Working alongside Commercial Director Nicolas Nothard and his team, their collective expertise ensures a customer-first approach.

Further moves include the promotion of Lewis Cannell to Head of Critical Solutions. With the UK government’s commitment to rapidly expanding data centre infrastructure under its AI Opportunities Action Plan, ABM is well-positioned to support customers through this period of rapid growth. ABM’s Critical Solutions business already maintains 4.5 million square feet of data centre space annually and supports more than 600 large-scale facilities. Lewis and his team have demonstrated exceptional service, delivering Critical Solutions’ most successful year in FY24. Recent successes include securing new partnerships with Iron Mountain, and a leading owner, operator, and developer of large-scale, carrier- and cloud-neutral multi-customer data centres across Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Richard Sykes, SVP and President for ABM UK & Ireland added: “ABM’s strength lies in its people. Over the past year, the Business & Industry business  has worked to shape a leadership team that will continue to drive meaningful change for our clients. Our 96% retention rate speaks volumes about our service quality, and with this new structure, we are poised to take it even further.

With over 12,500 employees across the UK and Ireland, ABM continues to provide industry-leading solutions to a diverse client base from both the private and public sectors.
