NATIONAL DATA CENTRE DAY

We’re proud to support National Data Centre Day, a new awareness day recognising the vital role data centres play in powering the UK’s digital economy and AI ambitions. 📅

Taking place annually on the 12th of September, this date marks the anniversary of when data centres were officially classified as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) by the UK Government, highlighting their importance in keeping businesses, services, and society connected.

This initiative is our chance to spotlight the innovation, sustainability, and people driving this vital sector forward.

We’re calling on more organisations, partners, and individuals to join us in celebrating and raising awareness.

“The data centre industry is central to society. The use of digital resources and reliance on data is stretching the existing infrastructure and the data centre industry is growing to meet this demand. The industry has historically been cloaked in NDAs, so with the designation of Critical National Infrastructure, it’s time to de-mystify.  By embracing innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, the sector can inform and set new benchmarks for how technology serves people and our communities.  DCME are proud to be part of the conversation #PoweringProgress”Ruth Illing, Managing Director DCME
