AI European Infrastructure SOCIMI will manage the property assets linked to the group’s expansion, with its first project to be developed in Talavera de la Reina.

Substrate AI has incorporated AI European Infrastructure Socimi, a vehicle specialising in the development, promotion and management of the property assets required to deploy data centres, advanced computing facilities and AI Factories.

The new company will commence operations with the Talavera de la Reina project and will enable the ownership and management of these infrastructures to be separated from the group’s technology business, which will continue to focus on the development of artificial intelligence, the operation of its platform and the provision of services through the Serenity ecosystem.

This structure will facilitate the entry of investors interested in property assets linked to digital infrastructure, with income derived from the leasing of the facilities. Substrate AI will also hold a stake in the SOCIMI, which will be responsible for the acquisition, development and management of the properties.

Through this vehicle, the company aims to put its future projects on a sound financial footing and expand its capacity to build new facilities as demand for computing and storage increases. This approach also makes it possible to separate the property-related risk from that associated with its artificial intelligence operations.

Lorenzo Serratosa, CEO of Substrate AI, pointed out that Talavera de la Reina will be the flagship project for the initial roll-out and explained that the infrastructure will be geared towards supporting services based on its Orion language models, as opposed to a model focused solely on selling computing capacity by the hour.
