Riello UPS has announced that it is enhancing its NextEnergy (NXE) range with a new 500 kVA version.

As with the rest of the super-efficient series, the NXE 500 is made with the latest transformerless UPS technology to deliver TÜV-certified operational efficiency up to 97% in double conversion online UPS mode.

This more powerful NXE 500 complements the existing NextEnergy range, including 250 kVA, 300 kVA and 400 kVA models. It is designed to protect data centres and similarly mission-critical applications.

The three-phase UPS offers users unity power (power factor 1) in a compact footprint, all while delivering “best in class” performance and a whole host of features to reduce power consumption and operating costs.

These include an Efficiency Control System that minimises energy waste even at partial loads. In addition, there’s a dedicated Active Eco operating mode that powers the load using the bypass line as well as acting as a filter that eliminates the need for power factor correction. This function boosts efficiency to 98.5%.

Across the entire NXE range, up to 8 UPS can be installed in parallel, increasing power or redundancy. Its Hot System Expansion (HSE) capability ensures extra units are added without having to switch the entire UPS system to bypass, guaranteeing the critical load is protected at all times.

Offering end-users the flexibility of top or bottom cable entry, the NXE can be used with or without a neutral connection. This makes it ideal for three-wire installations and potentially cuts distribution system costs.

It also features a sizeable 7-inch touchscreen colour display and control panel, while the range easily integrates with DCIM software and remote UPS monitoring platforms such as Riello Connect.
