Award-winning manufacturer of uninterruptible power supplies and standby power systems Riello UPS launches its third generation of transformerless UPS.

Designed for small data centres and similar mission-critical IT environments, the Sentryum incorporates 10, 15, and 20 kVA versions.

It comes with a choice of three frame sizes that enable customers to maximise their battery runtime.

The Compact (CPT) cabinet holds a single battery string. With a footprint of less than 0.25m2 is an ideal solution for the most space-restricted installations. The mid-size Active (ACT) enclosure has a footprint of 0.35m2 and can house two battery strings. Finally, the Xtend (XTD) option has enough room to fit three battery strings even though it only takes up a compact 0.4m2 space.

Delivering full-rated unity power thanks to advanced components such as a three-level inverter and dual-core DSP processor, the Sentryum offers outstanding efficiency of up to 96.5%, even at loads of 50-75%.

Not only does this mean it requires less space, but it also makes the Sentryum far easier and more cost-effective to maintain.”

The UPS’s high overload and short circuit capacity ensure it can handle unexpected peak loads without the need to transfer to bypass. It also features a unique control system that minimises harmonic voltage distortion.

Up to eight scalable Sentryum UPS can be paralleled together to boost capacity or ensure redundancy (i.e. N+1). And because the range runs on a closed-loop system, it won’t go offline even if there’s a problem with the connection cables.

Another innovative feature is the revamped large touchscreen colour display panel. While a new LED status indicator changes colour depending on the UPS’s current operating state.

The new Sentryum is available for pre-order from Riello UPS for delivery in Q4.
