Riello UPS has announced that it has expanded its NextEnergy (NXE) range with a new increased 400 kVA power version called NXE 400

Already available in 250 kVA and 300 kVA versions, the eagerly-anticipated NXE 400 (400 kVA) addition is just as suitable a solution for protecting mission-critical applications in a compact footprint.

The new and more powerful NXE 400 incorporates the latest transformerless technologies to deliver TÜV-certified operational efficiency up to 97%, while its pioneering Efficiency Control System minimises wasted energy even at partial loads.

The three-phase NextEnergy series delivers unity power factor and incorporates a whole host of energy-saving features including Eco and Smart Active operating modes that enable 99% efficiency, plus speed-controlled fans that adjust depending on the load level.

Offering flexibility with bottom and top cable entry, the entire NXE range can operate without a neutral connection so is suitable for three-wire installations. Front to top ventilation eliminates rear clearance, allowing for space-saving back-to-back installation, while complete front panel access enables easy servicing and UPS maintenance too.

In a further boost for the NXE range, the two existing models (250 and 300 kVA) have secured a place on the Energy Technology List (ETL), a government-backed directory of energy efficient products it recommends to businesses.

Products included on the ETL are eligible for tax relief under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme (ECAs), which means customers can offset 100% of the purchase costs against their taxable profits, five times the standard tax relief available on new equipment.

To feature on this ‘best in class’ list, the NXE 250 and 300 bettered strict energy efficiency thresholds across a range of load levels, proving it can help data centre operators and IT managers reduce their power consumption.  It joins several other Riello UPS power supplies, including the modular Multi Power (MPW) and Multi Sentry (MST), on the latest Energy Technology List.
