PRESS RELEASE: London, United Kingdom – Following the hugely successful Charity “Christmas Kick-Off Party” on the evening of Wednesday 28th November 2018 in central London, DATACENTRE.ME (DCME) is absolutely thrilled to announce that a generous charitable donation of £3,225 has now been donated between this years’ three chosen *charities.
Launched in November 2015, the DCME Charity “Christmas Kick-Off Party” has become a ‘must-attend event’ in industry diaries. The event enables individuals from all sectors of the industry to come together and celebrate another successful year in the fast-moving world of data centres.
The event received overwhelming support by both existing website and event sponsors and by sponsors new to the DATACENTRE.ME family.
In impressive thirty-four companies in total sponsored this event in total with the three top-level Diamond sponsors (Riello UPS, Schneider Electric & Vertiv) each receiving 50 tickets to the event to allow them to invite both colleagues and guests to enjoy the evening too. Without the strict rules that apply to the DCME End User Networking events, this was an opportunity to catch up with industry peers and for teams to attend together to meet and mingle with others in the industry. The evening welcomed over 400 attendees from 180 different organisations and a really splendid night was had by all, as seen in the evening’s photographs and video footage.
Caroline Hitchins, Owner & Founder of DATACENTRE.ME commented, “We are simply over the moon to have been able to donate £1,075 to each of our three chosen charities this year. We received overwhelming support from our 34 sponsors and their guests and couldn’t have done it without them. We had a really fantastic night and the new venue was exactly what we had hoped it would be, with plenty of room to meet and mingle…even the dancefloor was well-used!
“With my own father sadly passing away recently from Alzheimer's Disease and having previously lost both my best friend and paternal grandfather to cancer, these *three charities are particularly close to my heart, so it was extra special for us to be able to support them this way. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all our wonderful sponsors and guests for their generous support.
“Looking to the future, 2019 is fast gathering pace. Our “Design & Build” end-user networking event on the evening of 26th February is booking up fast and we have already put dates in the diary for all our quarterly end user events this year – including, of course, another fantastic Charity “Christmas Kick-Off Party” which will take place at the end of November 2019!”
More information regarding all DCME events can be found here. The date for the Charity “Christmas Kick-Off Party” hasn’t been confirmed as yet but is likely to be the evening of Wednesday 27th November 2019 so please hold the date and we will be in touch later in the year.
