CTRLS BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON ITS THIRD HYPERSCALE DATA CENTRE
PRESS RELEASE: CtrlS has started construction on its third hyperscale data centre in Hyderabad. Adding to the slew of data centres that are being set up in Hyderabad, another city-based company is all set to unveil its third hyperscale data centre and the ground-breaking ceremony for the same was held here on Monday. CtrlS – Asia’s largest rated-4 hyperscale data centre performed a ceremonial ground-breaking ceremony kicking-off construction of its third hyperscale data centre in Gachibowli.
The data centre will be spread across 131,000 square feet equipped with 1,600 racks powered by 18MW of electricity. As the city fall under the seismic zone it is a preferred destination for disaster recovery services and many major organisations like Flipkart, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), ICICI Bank, Amazon have either their offices or infrastructure collocated in the city.
The to-be-constructed CtrlS Gachibowli DC2 is located in the Financial District of Hyderabad.
CtrlS founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy said, “It gives me immense pleasure to add the third (rated-4) hyperscale data centre in Hyderabad. As we commence the construction of this facility, we are sowing the seeds for new employment opportunities, ability to help expansion of global multinationals and Indian businesses into the city of Hyderabad for their colocation or disaster recovery needs.”
The data centre, according to a press release by the company, will be environmentally-friendly with rain harvesting, water conservation and recycling capabilities, efficient e-waste management and maximised elimination of paper and plastic.
