The team at BLAQ CAT DC, alongside supporters from Scotty’s Soldiers, Eden Geothermal, Hitachi Vantara, Mercury Power, and Overwatch, showcased how collaboration and shared purpose can shape the next generation of data centre excellence.

Before the day began, we were fortunate to enjoy a guided tour of the impressive NDCA facility. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear that this is more than a training space – it’s a hub for innovation, learning, and technical advancement. The layout has been carefully designed to support hands-on experience, with dedicated event areas, classrooms, and breakout spaces ideal for both structured learning and informal discussion.

John’s vision for NDCA is ambitious yet deeply practical. A respected figure in the data centre community, he is actively involved in every level of the industry – from partnerships with education providers to the delivery of CPD-accredited courses and apprenticeship programmes.
