Aermec UK has adopted the BuildingConfidence supply chain accreditation scheme.
Launched in 2007 BuildingConfidence brings supplier pre-qualification to the construction sector and includes a comprehensive on-site audit as well as a thorough documentary review. It is recognised throughout a number of industries and helps ensure supply chains comply with recognised standards which saves time and reduces costs.
The scheme, managed by Achilles, was set up to help construction firms to identify and manage their supply chain risks in a more structured manner and outlines a clear improvement process however it is now being used by an increasing number of corporations outside the building sector.
Paul Lawrence, Aermec UK’s Managing Director comments, “BuildingConfidence provides a thorough approach to accreditation. Aermec is confident that by being part of this scheme it will help buyers and project managers to choose Aermec as a reliable partner and have confidence in our business practices which have been rigorously assessed and audited to meet the quality, environment and health and safety standards required by the construction industry,”
About Aermec UK:
Aermec UK is based in Basildon, Essex in England and is a manufacturer of air handers, chillers and heat pumps.
Aermec was founded on the principles of sustainability and best practice. The company always seeks to minimise its environmental impact and those values are reflected in its approach to business. Aermec constantly strives to help reduce their customers’ life cycle costs and offer the best value engineering solutions whilst addressing environmental concerns.
Collaborative working practices are embraced across the business. Becoming a CIBSE patron echoes the company’s own philosophies. Aermec works closely with M&E consultants, mechanical engineers, building services engineers and its end users.
In-house, Aermec has some of the finest engineers in the HVAC engineering world but recognises that only by partnering and collaborating with customers as well as component manufacturers, can it design the best energy efficient solutions and stay ahead of ‘the curve’.
The company invests heavily in research and development and has close links with Padua University, close to its manufacturing base. It also has one of the largest testing laboratories in Europe which are Eurovent and AHRI approved. Aermec is actively involved in harnessing new technologies from HVAC compressors, heat exchangers and new motors to working with the latest advances in low GWP refrigerants and its extensive testing facilities ensure that products are rigorously tested and can meet even the most exacting criteria.
