Power Control Ltd has been announced as a finalist for one of the prestigious DCS Awards.
The DCS awards are designed to reward the product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data centre arena. The Awards recognise the achievements of the vendors and their business partners alike and this year encompass a wider range of both facilities and information technology award categories designed to address all of the main areas of the datacentre market in Europe.
Now in its ninth year, the DCS Awards recognises the achievements of all the main areas that make up Europe’s dynamic data centre market. This includes product designers, manufacturers, suppliers and providers operating in the data centre sphere and honours those across both facilities and information technology award categories.
The winners will be announced at a gala evening at the Grange, St Paul’s Hotel in central London on Thursday 16 May 2019.
The awards are categorised within five groups, Project Awards, Facilities Innovation Awards, ICT Innovation Awards, Company Awards and Individual awards. As a leading UPS project provider, Power Control entered into and has been nominated for the New Design/Build Data Centre Project of the Year Award with its recent supply and install project for leading design and build operator coolDC.
coolDC required increased uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery capacity with minimal disruption and zero downtime. Power Control was able to provide a system design that enabled coolDC to scale up as its load requirements increased and thus increase the efficiency.
The voting is now live and closes on Friday 3rd May 2019.
