Data Centre Operations & Infrastructure End User / Buyer / Specifier Networking Event
DATACENTRE.ME (DCME) events are extremely unique because, unlike some of the large exhibitions & conferences, our events are small, personable affairs that encourage & nurture the relationship-building aspect of business as opposed to a “hard sell”.
Based on the various themes of the events throughout the year, we invite a selection of companies that supply the Data Centre industry with innovative products & services, to sponsor. We then invite high level “end users / buyers / specifiers” within the Data Centre industry to join us, free of charge, as our guests. This allows the two sides to meet up, after a long day in the office or meetings, for a relaxed evening of informal networking over complimentary drinks & nibbles.
There are no presentations to sit though at DCME events. On the contrary, our events are evenings of pure networking where the vendor presence is limited, working relationships are forged and business will hopefully follow. What can we say other than it's a hugely successful formula that sponsors & guests alike very much enjoy & value!
The DCME Team has been running successful events of this nature since 2013, You can find links & information regarding all of our future & past events on our events page here. We look forward to welcoming you to one or more of our events very soon 🙂
This particular networking evening had the theme of “Data Centre Operations & Infrastructure”. We welcomed 252 people through the door on the night.
You can download the finalised attendee list (minus names and contact details of course) by clicking here. There are 2 tabs within this spreadsheet: those that attended on the night and those that had registered in the hope of attending but, for various reasons, were unable to attend on the evening. Everyone highlighted in red text is either an event or website sponsor. Everyone in black text is an end user / consultant etc who qualifies to attend our events with an end user ticket, irrelevant of if they are a sponsor or not.
Here are some statistics relating to this particular event:
-
- 191 of the 252 attendees were “guests” as opposed to event or website sponsors which equates to 75.79%
- There were 123 people that registered but were unfortunately unable to attend on the evening, of which 120 were “guests” as opposed to event or website sponsors which equates to 97.56%
- Including event & website sponsors, the grand total number of registrants was 375; 311 of which were “guests” or, in other words, 82.93%!
We're sure you will agree when we say that many event organisers seem to struggle to attract bonafide buyers & specifiers to attend their events yet this is where DCME end user events excel.

“END USER / BUYER / SPECIFIER OF THE FUTURE” SCHEME:
If there is an “end user / buyer / specifier of the future” in your company that would like to invite to attend a DCME event, please send an email to future@datacentre.me detailing what their job title is, what their role entails and why you would like them to attend. The idea behind this scheme is to help apprentice engineers, project managers, architects etc at the start of their career. As such, they must be nominated and accompanied by a company director with the expectation that they will provide some guidance and introductions on the evening. Registrations received from apprentices or those in other junior roles are not approved without prior arrangement. All attendees to this event must be over the age of 21 and photo ID will be required from anyone that looks under 25.
