DATE & TIME:
5pm-11pm, Tuesday 22nd August 2023. The venue is closing their doors to the general public and will not open for our event until 5pm so please don’t turn up before that time.
VENUE:
The venue is located a convenient 5 minute walk from London Bridge Station. We will have use of the venue until at least 11pm so it promises to be a great evening and we do hope you are able to join us. The venue name and location details will be shared with all confirmed attendees via email. FOOD:
There will be a few canapés served during the early part of the evening. To manage expectations, there will be a smaller quantity of food than you may be used to at our larger sponsored events so, if you feel that you will need something a bit more substantial to eat, it would be advisable to eat something beforehand or eat a late lunch. Alternatively, the venue has confirmed that their kitchen will be open if you would like to purchase some bar snacks. Apologies – we were told last week that burgers would be available for purchase but we have just been informed only items from The Brigade Bar Snack menu will be available on the evening of our event as they are closing the venue to the general public.
DRINK:
There will be a couple of welcome drinks in the form of wine & beer (or soft drink presumably) on offer for all our guests on arrival so please make sure that you don’t arrive too late as you may miss out. There will be a pay bar available throughout the evening and when our welcome drinks have finished.
DRESS CODE:
Smart / casual – we always recommend “laying” clothing in case it gets warm.
ABOUT THIS EVENT, HOW WILL I FIND IT USEFUL & WHO WILL I MEET?:
Once a year or so, we try to organise an ad-hoc website sponsor evening. This free-to-attend networking event is mainly designed to say thank you to all of our valued website sponsors for their continued support throughout the year. We do also extend the invitation to a few companies that are currently expressing an active interest in signing up to sponsor the DCME website and our end user events over the coming weeks and haven’t had the chance to get to know us and our other sponsors yet or our events. As this is a much smaller event than one of our usual “end user” networking events, it provides the perfect opportunity for us all to get to know one another a little better in the hope of making some new connections, building on existing relationships and perhaps even forging some new working partnerships too. 😊
Being that this is a website sponsor evening, it’s bound to be more “vendor heavy” than at our larger, more traditional end user events however, when we have run this type of event previously, there has been a super mix of like-minded individuals and everyone came away having made some valuable new contacts and a few even forged some new business relationships too. There are approximately 80 confirmed attendees so it promises to be e great evening!

HOW CAN THIS EVENT BE FREE-TO-ATTEND?:
Last year, DCME's Owner & Founder Caroline bid a substantial amount of money and won a sit-down dinner party for 18 people in a charity auction. As we work with around 70 companies at any one time, we found it impossible to choose just 16 or 17 guests so, after much head-scratching, we thought it would be a fantastic idea to turn this into our next DCME website sponsor evening instead, whilst still allowing a sizeable percentage of our donation to go to the charity. Whilst we will not be asking for any charitable donations from our guests, we have invited the charity to make a very short presentation on the evening, to give us a quick insight into the amazing work that they are doing and the lives that they are changing.
VERY IMPORTANT:
This private event is strictly for all DCME website sponsors plus a handful of other interested parties only and is not open to others to attend unless they are actively considering signing up to sponsor the DCME website and end user events over the next few weeks and don’t already know us and our other sponsors or about our events. This invitation is open to a maximum of 2 attendees per company only as we are limited on space & numbers . If there are any other colleagues or contacts that you would like to invite, please can we ask you not to invite them or share this page with them but to message or call Caroline instead on 07544 121900 or caroline@datacentre.me as there will be a guest list in operation on the door and only pre-registered guests will be granted entry on the night.
