Data centre cooling towers can circulate significant quantities of water while accumulating dirt, debris, scale and biological material. LAKOS filtration systems remove these unwanted solids to help prevent blocked tower nozzles, fouled heat exchangers and reduced thermal performance. Its portfolio includes centrifugal separators and sand media filtration, with solutions capable of removing particles as fine as 5 microns depending on the technology selected.
For cooling tower applications, LAKOS offers systems including eTCX Premium Efficiency, TCX-TCI TowerClean, TowerClean Plus and sand media filtration. The eTCX system uses centrifugal filtration and is independently rated to remove up to 98% of solids 44 microns and larger in a single pass and up to 99% of solids 25 microns and larger in recirculating applications.
