Getting power out fast to a huge, floating facility

Casinos might be used to seeing spectacular strokes of luck, but nothing could prepare this Chicago-based casino for the literal lightning strike of a storm that destroyed its transformer and left it completely cut off. The 53,000 square ft. casino was located on a floating barge, making the conditions for repair even more challenging.

Additionally, the wide-spread effects of the storm created a competing demand for temporary power among businesses. The longer the casino went without power, the more they lost in revenue. Not knowing how long repairs would take, the casino needed a temporary, reliable power source as quickly as possible.
